Covid-19: Westchester Sees Nearly 600 New Cases; Latest Update
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Westchester and patients being hospitalized with the virus continues to climb week-to-week as the county combats the second wave.
In his COVID-19 briefing on Monday, Nov. 30, Westchester County Executive George Latimer offered grim news as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to mount.
According to Latimer, there are currently 6,117 active COVID-19 cases in the county, up approximately 1,300 from last week. A month ago, the county had 1,393 active cases.

Covid-19: Emergency Summit For Governors Will Discuss More Possible Restrictions
NJ Gov. Phil Murphy will join governors from five other northeastern states to discuss alignment on managing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Governors from New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and Pennsylvania will consider additional regional restrictions on gyms, bars, travel, restaurants and more.
The virtual meeting was announced Friday by NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo and confirmed later by a spokesman for NJ Gov. Phil Murphy's office.
"You cannot defy reality," said Cuomo, "and reality is the virus transmits, and the virus is mobile, and we're in the holiday season."

Gap Hiring At Local Fulfillment Center, Bringing 1,400 Jobs To Hudson Valley
Gap is looking to hire 1,400 "flex" employees, who can choose which hours during the week and weekends that they'd prefer to work, at its Dutchess County packaging and assembly center in Fishkill for the holiday season.
Flex employees can work hours during the day, at night and on weekends; they are also permitted to pick up extra hours.
The starting rate for full-time, part-time and seasonal employees, said the company, went up by one dollar on Monday, Oct. 18.
