Female Driver Killed By Philadelphia Bound Train In Atlantic County A female driver died when an NJ Transit train struck her car in Hammonton Thursday afternoon, officials said. An Atlantic City Rail Line train leaving Atlantic City at 2:40 p.m. struck the vehicle around 3:20 p.m., NJ Transit spokeswoman Kate Thompson said. The train was scheduled to arrive in in Philadelphia at 4:21 p.m., she said. The woman's identity had not been released as of Thursday evening.  It was not clear why the woman's car was on the tracks when the crash occurred, and the incident remained under investigation by NJ Transit Police. Atlantic County Driver Killed When Car Crosses Double Yellow Line, Slams Fence An Atlantic County driver died when his car ran off a Gloucester County road and hit a fence over the weekend, police said. Henry J. Berenato, 76, of Hammonton, was on Corkery Lane when his 2016 Toyota Camry crossed the double yellow lines and went into the eastbound lane, just before Ames Road/Sykesville Road in Monroe Township around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, local police said. Berenato's car continued off the road for about 200 feet before hitting a fence at a Student Transportation of America bus facility, killing him. The incident remains under investigation.

These NJ ShopRite Stores Imposing Customer Limit Amid Coronavirus Spread More than two dozen New Jersey ShopRite stores have implemented customer limits in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. The maximum number of customers will be roughly 30 percent of the store’s regular maximum occupancy, ShopRite said in a statement. A security guard will be stationed at entrances and exits to track the number of customers coming in and out. Only one entrance per store will remain open.
