Man Charged With Violating Protective Order In Greenwich A 40-year-old turned himself in to police after learning of a warrant for his arrest in connection with allegedly violating a protective order. Alyson Moraes, of Port Chester, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 19, and charged with violation of a protective order and harassment, Greenwich Police said. According to police, in October police investigated a report that Moraes had violated a protective order by repeatedly contacting the victim in the order, police said. Moraes posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at later date.

Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Hit By Compact SUV In Greenwich A woman has died from her injuries after being hit by a vehicle last week in Greenwich. The incident took place on Friday. Nov. 29, when Regina Dowling, 62, was walking north on Sound Beach Avenue when she began to cross Station Drive South, said the Greenwich Police. At the same time, a 2015 Honda CRV was traveling south on Sound Beach Avenue, driven by an 82-year-old Greenwich resident.  The CRV made a left turn onto Station Drive South and struck Dowling.
