As temperatures continue to ride, so too does prices at the pump for motorists nationwide as winter slowly turns to spring.
Nationally, as of Thursday, March 14, gas prices are up eight cents since a week ago, to an average of $2.52 per gallon, according to AAA. That price is 34 cents more expensive than a month ago as refineries begin transitioning from a cheaper winter blend to a more expensive, eco-friendly summer blend.

Prices at the gas pump continue to plummet for motorists in Connecticut, reaching a new low for the week, month and year, AAA announced.
Nationally, motorists are paying an average of $2.42 per gallon, down four cents from a week ago, 28 cents from a month ago and four cents cheaper than a year ago. In Connecticut, drivers are paying an average of $2.73 per gallon, four cents lower than a week ago, and 18 cents less expensive than this time last month.
