'Catch These Fists,' Rowdy Bar Patron Tells Officer Before Hitting Him Twice, Franklin PD Says A 32-year-old Franklin woman was taken into police custody after attempting to assault several bar patrons and then hitting an officer twice, authorities said. Police responding to Koz's Korner around 11:15 Monday night found Kasey Mulligan intoxicated and flailing on the ground outside the Rutherford Avenue bar in the rain, Franklin Police Chief Gregory M. Cugliari said. Mulligan had tried assaulting other bar patrons, who at this point were crowding around her as she flailed and yelled belligerently from the ground, police said. Driver Was High When He Hit Multiple Cars On 80: Fairfield PD Fairfield police dispatched all available units Saturday, when a Franklin man struck multiple vehicles as he was traveling on I-80, Chief Anthony Manna said in a statement.  A gold Hyundai was spotted traveling erratically on the westbound side of the highway around 12:49 p.m., Manna said. Flames were shooting out the front door of the Sugar Maple Lane home (in Crystal Springs) when firefighters arrived around 8:40 p.m. The townhouse was damaged as a result of the fire. Details were not immediately available as of Sunday morning. Companies from Hamburg, Franklin, Ogdensburg, Vernon, Mcafee, Pochuck Valley, Sparta, Sussex and Montague also responded.

Roy Rogers Shuts Franklin Location Roy Rogers in Franklin has shut its doors. Only five of the franchise's restaurants remain open in New Jersey, according to the Roy Rogers website. Named after the singing cowboy actor, the Roy Rogers restaurant first opened in Virginia in 1968. The Franklin location came to Route 23 in 2015.
