Driver Hospitalized After Vehicle Plows Into Hunterdon County Barn A driver was taken to a nearby hospital after their vehicle barreled into a barn in Hunterdon County Monday evening, authorities said. The vehicle — appearing to be a Ford Explorer —crashed into the barn on Pittstown Road in Pittstown shortly after 7 p.m., according to the Quakertown Fire Company, which responded alongside local EMS units. The driver was able to self-extricate before being taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, QFC said. Police Search For Suspect Vehicle After Hit And Run Kills Pedestrian Police are investigating a hit and run that killed a pedestrian overnight in Laurel, authorities say. The victim was reportedly struck by a Ford Explorer in the 9600 block of Washington Boulevard around 10:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, according to Howard County police. The man was rushed to the Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Washington Boulevard was closed in both directions for approximately two and a half hours. Javier Sanchez, of Pittsgrove Township, Salem County, was driving a Ford Explorer south on Route 55 in Franklin Township, Gloucester County at 1:04 a.m. Friday, July 15, New Jersey State Police said.  His SUV left the roadway to the right side and struck a guardrail, Trooper Charles Marchan, a State Police spokesman, said.  Sanchez suffered fatal injuries, he said.
