Man Charged With Murder, Rape Following Assault In Maryland, Police Say
A suspect has been apprehended on rape and murder charges following an incident involving an elderly woman and juvenile in Harford County on Thursday, according to the Bel Air Police Department. On Feb. 22, officers from the department were called to the 700 block of Bedford Road to investigate an assault, where they found 73-year-old Mary Catherine Bland suffering from stab wounds, and a teen girl who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A man with a name familiar to fans of the Baltimore-based hit show “The Wire” will decades behind bars after being convicted of two stabbing attacks in Montgomery County earlier this year.
