: Police Extricate Driver In Fiery Levittown Crash
Police extricated the driver of a vehicle who hit a tree in Levittown late Friday night, fire officials said. The crash occurred just before midnight at Appletree Drive in Bristol Township, Levittown Fire Co. 2 said. The driver had been removed by police as fire crews arrived to put out a small fire in the engine compartment, which apparently had also been extinguished, the station said. Photos from the scene show a damaged tree. Circumstances around the crash were not immediately known.

Reading Firefighters Rescue Unconcious Woman From House
Reading firefighters rescued an unconscious woman from a smoke-filled house Friday morning, authorities said. Fire crews arrived to find the Spring Street house on fire with smoke showing from the front door and basement around 9 a.m., according to Reading Fire Department. While firefighters were extinguishing the fire in the basement, an unconscious woman was found on the 2nd floor, authorities said. Crews quickly freed the woman and transferred her to EMS for medical treatment. Her condition is unknown. The Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.

A 4-alarm fire tore through a row of Jersey City homes early April 5. Nearly two dozen Terrace Avenue residents were displaced as a result. At least two people were rescued from the homes, before flames spread to a car parked in front of one of them, NBC reports.
