Resident Rescued From Burning Home In Philadelphia, Authorities Say One person was pulled from their burning West Philadelphia home and treated for injuries early on Tuesday, Aug. 1, according to authorities.  It happened near the corner of North 57th and Harmer streets around 6 a.m., the Fire Department confirmed to Daily Voice.  The resident was rescued, evaluated at the scene by first responders, and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, PFD said. His condition as of Tuesday afternoon was not clear.  The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Fire Marshal, a department spokesperson added.
