Sedan Slams Into Route 17 Furniture Store In Paramus No injuries were reported after a sedan crashed into a wall in front of a Route 17 furniture store in Paramus Sunday night. Borough firefighters doused an engine blaze that broke out in the four-door Nissan Altima after it slammed into The Loft Furniture Outlet on the highway’s southbound side between A&S Drive and Midland Avenue. The building wasn’t seriously damaged. A flatbed removed the charred and severely damaged vehicle. Paramus police and firefighters responded. Police were investigating the cause. Boyd A. Two-Alarm Fire Severely Damages Home In Westchester A chimney fire severely damaged a home in Irvington on Sunday. The fire was reported to the Irvington Fire Department around 2:59 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at a home on Blueberry Hill Road, said Fire Chief Anthony Tarricone. Arriving firefighters found the flames and smoke contained to the living room and master bedroom he said. Firefighters had to stretch a hose up a long hill to attack the fire due to the location of the home. No residents or firefighters were injured. Irvington was assisted on the scene by Dobbs Ferry, Rivertown, and Hastings fire departments.
