Victim Who Withdrew $10K From VA Bank Was Followed By Trio Who Stole It, Police Say
Warrants have been issued for a pair from New Jersey and New York who police said targeted a victim who withdrew a large amount of cash at a Virginia bank. Pedro Bernal Montoya, 43, of New Jersey, and Antonio Ramos Acevedo, 33, of New York, watched as the victim took out $10,000 from a Springfield, VA bank on March 21, at 3:13 p.m., Fairfax County police said. Woodbridge Motorcyclist, 32, Killed In Fairfax County Crash
A 32-year-old motorcycle was killed in a Fairfax County crash over the weekend, police said. Cornell Parish III, of Woodbridge, crashed on Rolling Road near Delong Drive in Newington while riding his 2003 Honda 1300 just before 5:20 a.m. Sunday, May 12, county police said. Police in Fairfax County have identified the 22-year-old driver killed in a crash on Georgetown Pike this week. Osman Elgamri, of Sterling, was operating a 2017 Lexus IS300 when he left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, county police said. A bomb threat that cleared a Fairfax County high school turned out to be bogus, police said. West Potomac High School in Belle Haven was evacuated Wednesday morning, April 24 for a threat called in over the phone, police said. Out of an abundance of caution, the students were moved from the school to an alternate location as our EOD conducts a search. The search yielded negative results, police said.
