Police in Essex County are hoping that a Minnesota man's second burglary in a month arrest will be a lesson to other criminals. Man Charged In Deadly Union County Stabbing
A 52-year-old man has been charged in a deadly Plainfield stabbing, authorities said. Marcelo Ixcuna-Castro killed Jose Maria Ixcuna-Chach, 37, on the 500 block of W Front Street around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 28, Union County Prosecutor William A. The Union County Jail will be closing its Elizabeth facility and transferring its inmates to the Essex County Jail in Newark -- saving the county more than $103 million.
