Dumfries Man Charged With 9 Counts Of Burglary After Marina Incident: Police
A Dumfries 21-year-old was arrested on Tuesday, August 16, for robbing boats and property at the Harbor Inn Marina in Woodbridge, police said.On August 13, between 2 a.m. and 3:10 a.m., the suspect broke into a building at the marina, twice, through an unsecured door, before entering seven boats, as well, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The suspect, Naggassi Dufera, eventually left the marina and no property was reported missing in law enforcement's investigation, authorities said.

A Dumfries man was arrested after he wouldn't let a woman out of his car, police said.Matthieu Alvardo, 32, was driving in Woodbridge at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, when he refused to let the 26-year-old female passenger get out of his car, according to Prince William County Police.
As she attempted to exit the car, Alvardo pulled her back in and in the process, shut her foot in the car door, officials said.
Police said the victim was able to contact authorities and she reported minor injuries.

Two men were arrested after a vicious fight in the parking lot of a Dumfries restaurant on July 13, police said.
Employees and patrons of the Montclair Family Restaurant were fighting at around 4 p.m., when one employee called his acquaintance, 33-year-old Joshua Fitzpatrick, to assist him in this dispute, Prince William County Police reported.
Once Fitzpatrick arrived and confronted the individuals involved, one patron, 38-year-old Timothy Nolton, hacked Fitzpatrick with a machete, officials said.

A Prince William County teenager attacked officers during his arrest, damaged a patrol car, and spat on police last week, authorities said.
Officers arrived at a home in the 3100 block of Tulip Tree Place in Dumfries around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, to serve an outstanding warrant, Prince William County police said. Two of the teenagers at the house ran away before officers could figure out who was inside.

The 23-year-old man was standing outside of his broken-down 1992 Mercury, signaling for help around 4:30 a.m. near mile marker 26.4 in Tilden Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The chain reaction began when a 2008 Honda driven by a 66-year-old Dumfries, VA, man, rear-ended a 2022 Toyota driven by a 25-year-old man from Pine Grove, PA, state police said.
