A man is facing charges after police say he fell asleep behind the wheel in Nyack while impaired by drugs. Orangetown Police say they observed a vehicle on Artopee Way in Nyack on Thursday, April 25 around 1:30 a.m. Officers say the vehicle was stopped with the driver appearing to be asleep behind the wheel. A 21-year-old Wallkill man was arrested following a traffic stop for DWAI and driving without a license. Nicholas J. Sebesta was charged Saturday by Town of Lloyd Police with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, and unlawful possession of marijuana, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. Northern Westchester Couple Caught With Heroin, Cocaine, Police Say
A Northern Westchester couple is behind bars after state police say they were caught with drugs during a traffic stop in Rockland County. The two were arrested for possession of heroin and cocaine after a traffic stop on Interstate 87 in Clarkstown, police said. Christopher Moura, 28, and Cynthia Moura, 34, both of Yorktown Heights, were each charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Christopher Moura was additionally charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Both were remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
