Bailey, 87, of Dover Plains, also worked for years as a tree surgeon at Coffin Tree Service in Tarrytown. Born on February 18, 1931, in Danbury, he was the son of the late Myron A. and Blanche Bailey. He was married to Cynthia L. Old Route 22 Closed Following Crash, Downed Wires In Dover Plains Old Route 22 in Dover Plains is closed to traffic after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole, causing power lines to drape near the roadway, said New York State Police.  According to Trooper AJ Hicks, the crash took place around 2:24 p.m. Monday at 148 Old Route 22. Amenia Man Arrested For Rape A 34-year-old Dutchess County man was charged with rape following an investigation by New York State Troopers into a rape complaint.  Cresson T. Horton of Amenia was arrested on Friday, Jan. 19 after troopers received a complaint from a victim who told investigators that Horton forced them to perform sexual acts, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers from the Dover Plains barracks charged Horton, who was familiar with the victim, with felony rape and felony criminal sexual act, Hicks said.
