Multi-Vehicle Rush-Hour Pileup Closes Route 208
Four vehicles in all were involved in a rush-hour pileup that kept a stretch of northbound Route 208 closed for an hour, authorities said. An inattentive driver merging onto the northbound highway from Russell Avenue caused the chain-reaction crash shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Wyckoff Police Lt. Kevin Kasak said. One person was taken to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, he said. 1 Killed In Head-On Crash Between BMW, Pickup Truck In Hudson Valley
A man was killed during a head-on collision in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place in Dutchess County at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 in East Fishkill just north of Robinson Lane and Lake Walton Road. When officers arrived, there was a black Dodge Ram and a blue BMW in the southbound lane, both with significant damage and one driver with serious injuries, said the East Fishkill Police. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office hopes you've seen this man. If you have, they want to talk to you. Deputies say he was involved in a hit and run in the Stafford Market Place Target parking lot earlier this month.
