Danbury Firefighters Tackle Blaze In Elevator Shaft At La Quinta Hotel
DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury firefighters extinguished a minor fire in the elevator shaft at the La Quinta Inn & Suites on Newtown Road on a frigid Monday afternoon, according to a Facebook post. The situation at the hotel was under control, and there were no injuries reported in the New Year's Day fire, the fire department said. An alarm went off at the hotel, located next Exit 8 of I-84 near the Bethel border, at about noon, according to the News-Times. Firefighters: Flames Burn Through Roof Of Danbury Home
DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury firefighters worked in frigid temperatures to knock down a large blaze in a home on Fleetwood Drive on late Sunday afternoon. Flames were visible when firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire in a Cape-style home at 12 Fleetwood Drive after 4:30 p.m., according to the News-Times.
