After Probation Meeting, Man Steals Delivery Driver's Car Outside LI Restaurant, Police Say
A man on probation and three juveniles are facing charges after allegedly stealing a delivery driver’s car outside a Long Island restaurant.
The theft occurred at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, in Mineola, outside of Riko’s Pizza on Old Country Road, according to Nassau County Police.
Investigators said the delivery driver left his 2019 Toyota Camry unlocked with the keys inside.
At around the same time, 19-year-old Alix Dupre, of Elmont, was leaving a scheduled probation appointment near the Nassau County Supreme Court building, roughly a block away.

Jose Hidalgo, age 59, and Guadalupe Montesdecoa-Aguilar, age 36, were found with over 200 grams of cocaine in a dorm residence on New York Racing Association (NYRA) property, Saratoga Springs Police said.
The pair was arrested Thursday, Aug. 18, on multiple felony charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

A Long Island teen has been charged with attempted rape after allegedly attacking a woman and physically assaulting her in an attempt to sexually assault her.
Carlos Geovanny Orozco-Rodriguez, age 19, of Shelter Island, was arrested on Sunday, June 26, after receiving a 911 from the woman.
According to Shelter Island Police, Orozco-Rodriguez forcefully attempted to have sexual intercourse with a female victim and subjected the victim to numerous "assaultive acts" resulting in physical injury.
