A former Long Branch woman enlisted her son and his friend to murder her daughter more than 25 years ago and, months later, enticed them with the promise of insurance money to kill her husband, a Jackson man told a judge, according to a published report.

A lawyer and friend of Fotis Dulos charged in the murder of missing Fairfield County missing mom Jennifer Farber Dulos, pleaded not guilty to a conspiracy to commit murder charge.
Kent Mawhinney, 54, who has been behind bars since his arrest on Jan. 7, appeared in Superior Court in Stamford for less than a minute on Thursday, Feb. 20, in order to enter his plea.
Mawhinney is a central figure in the high-drama case of the murder of Jennifer Dulos, who was last seen on Friday, May 24, 2019, after dropping off her five children at school in New Canaan.
