Several Northeast states are among the nation's most diverse, according to a new study.
WalletHub released its 2025 list of Most & Least Diverse States in America on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The study analyzed all 50 states across race, language, religion, household makeup, politics, and income.
The study looked at how diversity extends far beyond demographics.

Miguel Alfinez, of Hartford, was found fatally shot in the 300 block of Broadview Terrace shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors could not save him, police said.
