Missing Man Identified As Person Found In CT River, DA Says
A body discovered by a kayaker in the Connecticut River has been identified as that of a missing 67-year-old Western Massachusetts man, who hasn't been seen in nearly two months.
Northwestern District Attorney spokeswoman Laurie Loisel confirmed the body was that of Franklin County resident Geoffrey Arthur, of Sutherland, who was reported missing on Monday, March 29.
Arthur, who was known as “Randy,” had last been seen by his family on Sunday, March 28, said the Sunderland Police.

Body Found In Connecticut River ID'd As Missing College Student
A body found in the Connecticut River has been identified as a college student who was reported missing last year.
The body of Wasique Hasan, age 21, of Easthampton, Massachusetts, was discovered in Hampshire County Friday, May 21, by a boater in Hadley, said the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
No foul play is suspected.
Hasan, who attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, had been reported missing by his family on Wednesday, Dec. 30, and his name was then entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.

One Month On, River Search Continues For Missing 11-Year-Old Boy
Nearly a month after he went missing, law enforcement personnel and emergency responders have resumed searching for an 11-year-old boy last whereabouts were by a Connecticut River boat ramp.
On Wednesday, March 3, a large search and rescue mission was conducted on the Chicopee and Connecticut rivers by the Medina Boat Ramp in Chicopee. People were asked to avoid the area so as not to inhibit the search for Aiden Blanchard.

Environmental Agency Joins Search Effort For Missing 11-Year-Old Aiden Blanchard
A new branch of law enforcement has joined the search for missing 11-year-old Aiden Blanchard.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, the Massachusetts State Police, Chicopee Police, were joined by the state Environmental Police continued the search for Aiden, who went missing on Feb. 5.
Search teams were comprised of the State Police Marine Unit and boats from the Chicopee and Environmental Police, along with the State Police Dive Team, K9 Unit, Drone Unit, and Air Wing.
