Darien Police Chief Calls It A Career After Nearly 40 Years In Law Enforcement After a nearly 40-year career, Darien Police Chief Ray Osborne has officially announced his retirement. Osborne notified the Darien Police Commission and First Selectman Jayme Stevenson earlier this week that he will be retiring on September 1. Osborne’s career began in 1983 after working with the Easton Police Department in 1981. In December of 1996, he was appointed to the Detective Division. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2000, Lieutenant in 2008 and Captain in 2016. Following the retirement of Chief Duane Lovello, the Darien Police Commission named Osborne the tenth Chief of Police. H…
