Darien Police Chief Calls It A Career After Nearly 40 Years In Law Enforcement
After a nearly 40-year career, Darien Police Chief Ray Osborne has officially announced his retirement. Osborne notified the Darien Police Commission and First Selectman Jayme Stevenson earlier this week that he will be retiring on September 1. Osborne’s career began in 1983 after working with the Easton Police Department in 1981. In December of 1996, he was appointed to the Detective Division. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2000, Lieutenant in 2008 and Captain in 2016. Following the retirement of Chief Duane Lovello, the Darien Police Commission named Osborne the tenth Chief of Police. H…

Ronald Fatigate, Former Police Commissioner In Westchester, Dies At 55
Ronald Fatigate of Pearl River, a former police commissioner in Westchester, died at home, on Monday, Jan. 28 after a battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 11, 1963, to Ralph Fatigate and Helen Martino Fatigate. He served the City of Mount Vernon as a police officer and detective, later becoming police commissioner. He was active in his community in Pearl River and was the owner of Raffaele's Pizzeria, where he was always generous with local charities. After responding to a Thanksgiving Day trespassing complaint, the Norwalk Police Department helped a man get a hot meal rather than arresting him. Officers Kelly Had and Ariel Martinez responded to the initial complaints of a trespasser inside the location. 17 Hires Give Bridgeport PD 100 New Officers In Last Two-Plus Years
Mayor Joseph Ganim and Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez welcomed the 17 newest police recruits training at the Bridgeport Police Academy this week.
