Territory War: Eight '59 Hoover' Gangsters Indicted On Murder, Assault Charges
Murder, assault and drug distribution are among some of the indictments handed down to eight gangsters embattled in a territory war in Maryland, authorities announced.
After a lengthy investigation, the 59 Hoover members were indicted by a grand jury in Howard County on Wednesday, March 2.
Jeremi Lewis, who was charged with first-degree murder in the case of Jaden Ealy, was a leader of the group, the indictment says.
The other members indicted are Anthony Jenkins, Daquan Woodson, Justin Harper, David Wainwright, Jr., Terrence Hux, Tavon Hawkins and Antonio Haywood, authorities said.

A 47-year-old man was busted for running a sex trafficking and prostitution ring out of a Maryland apartment, authorities said.
Sang Kook Shin, of Frederick, rented the Columbia apartment where he ran the ring for months, authorities in Howard County said Monday, Feb. 28.
Shin had been the subject of the investigation at the Early April Way address, and his own home, since December 2021, police said.

Maryland Armed Robbery Suspects Had 5 Illegal Firearms, 1,000 Rounds Of Ammo: Police
Four people were charged Wednesday in connection to the recent armed robbery of two Maryland teenagers, according to authorities who allegedly recovered five illegal guns and more than 1,000 rounds of ammo at the arrest scene.
Malachi Smith, 18, and Kahlil Hill, 18, both of Columbia, were charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault, motor vehicle theft, and theft, Howard County Police said.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Aberdeen boy was charged as an adult with the same offenses, and a 15-year-old Columbia boy was charged as a juvenile in the robbery, according to police.
