Cliffside Park Boy, 12, Struck By Van, Undocumented Immigrant Charged
An undocumented immigrant using a fake driver's license was behind the wheel of a Fairview contractor's van that struck a 12-year-old boy in Cliffside Park, authorities said.
The 2006 Ford E250 painting company van was headed south on Anderson Avenue when the boy suddenly stepped into its path near the corner of Greenmount Avenue around 6 p.m. Thursday, Deputy Police Chief Vincent Capano said.
The youngster was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with foot pain and swelling on his forehead, Capano said.

Passenger, 72, Critical, Driver, 70, Hurt Following Crash On Hudson Waterfront In Edgewater
UPDATE: A crash Wednesday afternoon in Edgewater critically injured a 70-year-old passenger and also sent her 72-year-old driver to the hospital, authorities said.
The severity of life-threatening injuries to the passenger brought the Bergen County Prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigations Unit, along with borough police, firefighters and EMS.

A North Bergen man hit a woman in the head with an aluminum baseball bat during a wild brawl in the parking lot of the Edgewater Target, authorities said.
Edgewater police quickly restored order, with help from their Cliffside Park and Fort Lee colleagues, after finding the injured woman among several people fighting in the parking lot on River Road late last Wednesday, Police Chief Donald Martin said.

Geraldine "GG" Pannacciulli (nee Kocian), of Cliffside Park, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 after a two-year battle with lung and brain cancer. She was 66.
Geraldine was a devoted mother to sons Christopher Pannacciulli and Nic Pannacciulli and their wives, Sabrenna and Elecia, respectively, and a loving grandmother to Stella, Isabella, and Charli.
Geraldine was predeceased by her sister, Denise Cummings.
