40-Year-Old Stopped On I-87 Had BAC Twice Legal Limit, Police Say
A man with a previous DWI conviction is facing new charges after allegedly driving drunk with a blood-alcohol level nearly triple the legal limit on I-87, New York State Police said.
Troopers in Clarkstown stopped Pedro Cruzgonzalez, 40, of Hillsborough, New Jersey, at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, when he committed a vehicle and traffic violation on I-87.
According to police, during the subsequent stop, it was determined that Cruzgonzalez was allegedly intoxicated, and he was taken into custody.

A 62-year-old man allegedly driving a stolen truck rammed two police cars and then fled on foot when officers attempted to make a traffic stop.
Juan Colon, of Newark, New Jersey, was arrested around 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, after Clarkstown Police officers on patrol attempted to stop a black Ford F-350 that had been reported stolen, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters.
When officers tried to make the stop in the area of Shorn Drive and Western Highway, Colon allegedly attempted to flee by ramming two Clarkstown Police vehicles, which had boxed him in, Peters said.

Three Westchester County men have been indicted on charges they operated a complex drug-dealing operation that sent tractor-trailer loads of drugs across the country.
Giovanny Arias, Victor Salazar, and Hector Maren, all of White plains, are three of 11 people indicted following a two-year investigation, said the Queens Acting District Attorney John Ryan.
