Good news! The COVID-19 rate in most Hampden County cities and towns has gone down, according to the most recent information from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Hampden County now has a “green” community as well - a term for communities with a low risk for the spread of the virus - it’s Holland.

It won’t add up to much, but meteorologists are predicting light snow in the region today, Wednesday, Dec. 30.
The snow will be heaviest in Central Massachusetts and the Northern Berkshires with the Worcester, Fitchburg, Pittsfield, and North Adams areas expected to receive an inch of snow.

Over the last week, more than 3,700 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Worcester County.
The week of Christmas - Monday, Dec. 21 - Sunday, Dec. 27 - also saw 1,467 new deaths across the Central Massachusetts county.
