A Paterson man originally accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl in her home was convicted of a significantly lesser charge last week, authorities said. UPDATE: An ex-con killed a fellow Paterson resident with a shotgun blast to the chest during a dispute at his city smoke shop last weekend, authorities revealed Thursday.
