Prosecutor: CT Pair Nabbed In NJ Turnpike Stop With Ghost Gun, Hollow-Nose Bullets
Two unemployed Connecticut men stopped on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County were packing two handguns and hollow-nosed bullets in their vehicle, authorities said.
One of the weapons was a homemade ghost gun, they said.
The passenger, Jeffrey Torres, 23, of Bristol, CT, bailed out and tried to run after Narcotic Task Force detectives stopped them on northbound Route 95 in Ridgefield, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Fourteen people have been nabbed following a long-term investigation by federal, state, and local law enforcement in connection with a narcotics trafficking ring in Connecticut.
The individuals were arrested throughout New Haven County on Wednesday, May 25 on federal narcotics trafficking charges related to the distribution of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, and oxycodone in and around Waterbury, US Attorney Vanessa Roberts Avery said.

Dog Shot, At Large After 'Vicious' Attack In CT, Police Say
Police officers in Connecticut had to shoot a dog that remains at large after it was involved in what was described as a “vicious” attack, according to authorities.
In Hartford County, police responded to a “vicious dog complaint” in Bristol on Friday, May 27, on French Street.
According to Bristol Police Lt. Robert Osborne, upon arrival, officers found a pit bull actively attacking its victim, and it had to be shot at the scene to halt the attack.
