22-Year-Old Pedestrian Hit By Jeep On Veterans Memorial Highway A 22-year-old pedestrian was injured after being hit by a vehicle on Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia.  Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the crash that seriously injured the unidentified man around 11:40 a.m., Friday, June 7. According to detectives, a 2016 Jeep was traveling east on Veterans Memorial Highway near Kenwood Drive when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.  The victim transported to Southside Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
