A 73-year-old woman was hospitalized after being dragged down the sidewalk in Bayonne by a man who stole her purse and fled, police said. The woman was checking her mailbox on her porch at 52nd Street and Avenue B, when the unknown man approached her from behind and demanded her purse around 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Bayonne Police Capt. A Hudson County motorcyclist is facing more serious charges in a crash that injured a 26-year-old woman. Peter Bishara, 26, was initially charged with creating risk of death or injuring while eluding in the June 16 crash, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A woman was taken to the hospital with cuts on her face and hand after someone complaining she was blocking the sidewalk hit her with a glass bottle in Bayonne, authorities said.
