As Bed Bath & Beyond consolidates and closes locations across the nation, a local store recently announced its final days. In December, the Bed Bath & Beyond in the shopping plaza by the Holyoke Mall announced that it will be closing soon. “Visit soon for sales and great clearance finds,” said a notice posted to the store’s website. Plaza Gains A Retailer But Loses A Bookseller
As one large retailer exits Lincoln Plaza, another is slated to come in. Bookseller Barnes & Noble is closing its Lincoln Plaza location in Worcester on Oct. 31, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. Barnes & Noble has been in that location since 2004. The Connecticut state medical examiner released an official cause of death for a Westchester woman found dead in a red suitcase on the side of a road in Fairfield County in February. On Monday, May 6, the state medical examiner said the official cause of death for Valerie Reyes, 24, of New Rochelle, was "homicidal asphyxia," and the manner of death was a homicide.
