Bail Reform: Released Hackensack Burglar Hits Same Business For 3rd Time, Police Say
Less than a week after he was released for breaking into two area businesses, a habitual Hackensack offender did it again -- at the same deli he'd burglarized twice before, authorities said.
Peter Tobin, 52, was picked up last Thursday and released under New Jersey's 2017 bail reform law for three Main Street burglaries within a block and a half of one another -- twice at Fairmount Eats and once at B&W Bakery, authorities said at the time.

Cliffside Park PD: North Bergen Thief, 15, Hits Other Teen With Stolen Car
A 15-year-old North Bergen boy driving a stolen car struck another teen in Cliffside Park, then was captured as he tried to flee along with a passenger who'd been involved in a chase-related police shooting last month, authorities said.
The Lexus, stolen out of North Bergen a short time earlier, struck the 17-year-old victim Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of Washington Avenue, Capt. Vincent Capano said.
The driver and his passenger got out, then drove up the block and parked after having words with the victim, Capano said Tuesday.

Wyckoff PD Nabs ID Thieves Who Tried Cashing Victim's $2,000 Check With Bogus Driver's License
Yet another group of ID thieves was thwarted -- this time by bank employees and police in Wyckoff -- after they tried cashing a bogus check for $2,000 using a driver’s license they’d created from an innocent victim’s personal information, authorities said.
One of the thieves presented the license, which had the same name as the payee on the check, issued by a New York City business, Lt. Joseph Soto said.
