13 Shooting Suspects Arrested, 29 Firearms Recovered In Newark
Thirteen shooting suspects were arrested and 29 illegal weapons were recovered in the month in Newark, authorities said Friday.
The men were arrested for various incidents since Oct. 1, and the weapons were linked to incidents that occurred in the last two-week span, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.
The following arrests were made:
Unique Anderson, 29, of Montclair, was arrested on Oct. 1, for a shooting of a male victim on Aug. 21, in the 100 block of Richelieu Terrace. Anderson faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a …
Elizabeth Trio Nabbed In Newark Spray Paint Incident
Three Elizabeth residents were arrested for spray painting in a Newark underpass, authorities said.
Police spotted three people get out of a BMW spray painting an underpass wall near Chester Avenue East and Riverside Avenue and around 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.
Paige N. Gonzalez, 28, Ramon A. Arroyo, 27, and Anthony Rolon, 25, were arrested without incident, Ambrose said. Police recovered six spray paint cans and one marker at the scene.
All three face charges of criminal mischief.

Some were wanted for aggravated assault, others for theft.
All eight suspects are being sought by Newark police on outstanding warrants.
