A retired Lodi police chief who served in the U.S. Navy and the Secret Service will join three former members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office who will be sworn to posts with the county sheriff this coming Monday. Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton appointed three former members of the county prosecutor's office to his administration. UPDATE: Authorities filed charges against a South Hackensack driver who crashed a sedan through the employee entrance of the Bergen County Jail on Friday. Troy H. McDonald, 51, remained in police custody overnight at New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus (formerly Bergen Regional) with injuries that Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton said weren't life-threatening.
