Three Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops
More than a dozen motorists were taken off the road by New York State Police troopers for alleged impaired driving. Local residents charged include: Westchester County On Saturday, July 20, State Police from Stormville arrested Shane A. Lesniak, 46, of Yonkers, for DWAI Drugs, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, both misdemeanors. With Memorial Day in the rearview mirror, AAA is cautioning that the holiday kicked off the “100 Deadliest Days” for teen drivers on area roadways. A New Canaan woman is facing DUI charges after police say she was pulled over for failing to stay in the proper lane. A man from Westchester has been charged after police say he was found asleep in his car and under the influence at a gas station in New Canaan. New Canaan Police say they observed a motorist traveling northbound on South Avenue on Saturday, May 11 around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle allegedly swerved toward the police cruiser as it passed. A Westchester motorist is facing multiple charges after a road rage incident, police say. Darien Police received a report from the victim on Sunday, March 10 around 7 p.m. stating that a red sedan was following her in a threatening manner. Several Hudson Valley residents were among 17 motorists taken off the road by New York State Police troopers over the weekend for alleged impaired driving.
