On Saturday, May 25, State Police from Brewster arrested Lawrence C. Marquez, 27, of South Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Motorcyclist Caught With Loaded, Stolen Handgun After High-Speed Chase On LIE, Route 25
A Patchogue man is behind bars after taking police on a high-speed chase on the LIE and then on Route 25 before being captured by K9 officers.
The incident began around 11:30 p.m., Thursday, May 16, when Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call of motorcycles operating recklessly eastbound on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 60, said the Suffolk County Police.
When the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle, the motorcyclist, Manny Fernandez, failed to stop, took Exit 65, reversed direction and headed westbound on the LIE, police said.

Taxi Driver Drove With Children In Vehicle While High On Drugs, Rockland Sheriff Says
A taxi driver from Haverstraw was nabbed for alleged DWAI/Drugs under “Leandra’s Law” for transporting two children while under the influence, said the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
Moises Esteves, 36, was arrested around 9:12 p.m., Friday, May 10, after being stopped by police while working as a driver for America Latina Taxi of Spring Valley, said Rockland County Sheriff's Lt. John Murphy.
Esteves was stopped for having a suspended vehicle registration on Pomona Road in the town of Ramapo, Murphy said.
