Developer Foulger-Pratt may be able to move forward with their proposal for a brand new Reston library and affordable apartment units, FFXnow reported. In October 2021, Foulger-Pratt submitted an unsolicited proposal to the county government with potential plans for a new 40,000-square-foot library, along with about 350 affordable housing units in two buildings with structured parking, the website said. Firefighters doused a mulch blaze that spread to a Mahwah affordable housing development before it could do severe damage. The two-alarm fire broke out at the Ramapo Brae development off Stag Hill Road near Route 287 and the Ramapo RIver around 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 29. State officials announced the completion of a $43 million affordable housing development in Westchester County.
