Driver was killed after his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree early Saturday morning, authorities announced on Sunday, June 28.
The single-vehicle crash happened at about 6:08 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in front of 1832 Old Swede Road, according to the Berks County Coroner's Office.
The 56-year-old man, who was the vehicle's sole occupant, drove off the roadway and struck a tree, according to the preliminary investigation.

A 9-year-old boy has died days after he was pulled from a hotel swimming pool in the Poconos, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office announced Thursday, June 25.
The child, who was from Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest at 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, the coroner's office said.
