A Greene County man is facing major felony charges after allegedly resisting arrest before authorities found more than 350 grams of cocaine in his car during a Thruway traffic stop in Ulster County, police said.
Catskill resident Sherod Wiggins, 47, was arrested early Wednesday, April 15, after troopers stopped his vehicle on Interstate 87 in Plattekill for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police announced on Thursday, April 16.
During the stop, a K-9 unit indicated that they smelled narcotics, prompting a search of the vehicle, police said.

Two men have been arrested after police said they attempted to scam a 75-year-old Westchester County resident out of $25,000 in cash by posing as a bank representative.
Both Qin Lin, 37, of Staten Island, and Zhonglin Luo, 45, of Brooklyn, were arrested on Monday evening, April 13, in connection with the scam, Larchmont Police announced on Tuesday, April 14.

The crash happened just before 2:45 p.m. in Beacon on Matteawan Road near Deer Run, where officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle, Beacon Police said.
