A Long Island man is accused of stockpiling illegal firearms, including ghost guns and loaded rifles, authorities announced on Friday, June 5.
Matthew Hibner, 36, of Huntington Station, was indicted after investigators allegedly found multiple illegal weapons and firearm-building materials inside his home during a search on May 14, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

A Long Island man is accused of stabbing another man during an argument at a Levittown home, police announced on Friday, June 5.
David McCarthy, 41, of Copiague, was arrested following the violent dispute at a residence on Haven Lane around 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, according to Nassau County detectives.
Police said McCarthy became involved in a verbal argument with a 28-year-old man before the confrontation escalated. During the dispute, McCarthy allegedly stabbed the victim in the leg, causing a severe laceration, authorities said.
