A New York man who traveled 40 minutes in hopes of engaging in sex acts with a 12-year-old girl has been convicted, authorities said Wednesday, May 6.
Kristian Walker, 54, was found guilty on one count of attempting to engage in oral sexual contact with a minor, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
Walker was busted in an undercover operation in August 2023, when police posed as a woman interested in a “discreet” meet-up in Colonie, prosecutors said.

A New York man was arrested for threatening a woman with a gun during a domestic dispute, and another man was charged with punching two cops while interfering in the investigation, authorities said Wednesday, May 6.
Justin Talley, 47, was involved in a domestic altercation in Albany and menaced a woman with a handgun on Tuesday night, May 5, the Albany Police Department said.

An Albany man who stabbed another man for not giving him a cigarette has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison, authorities said Friday, May 1.
James Holmes, 62, got 12 years behind bars for the stabbing, which he pleaded guilty to in early March, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
