An 18-year-old Jackson Township man is accused of stabbing his grandmother to death inside their home Monday morning, May 18, authorities said. Louis Brown was charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with the death of 69-year-old Darlene Brown, both of Jackson Township, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. 6-Year-Old Girl Among 3 Shot In Passaic, Prosecutor Says
A 6-year-old girl was among three people wounded in a shooting in Passaic Sunday night, May 17, authorities said. Passaic police responded to the area of 79 Sherman St. around 8:55 p.m. on a report of a shooting involving multiple victims, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis Guzman. A 27-year-old woman from Wallington, a 20-year-old woman from Passaic, and a 6-year-old juvenile were struck by gunfire, authorities said.
