A study published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs found no protective health effect from alcohol at any level of consumption. The study examined how drinking affects the lifetime risk of death from alcohol-related causes in the US. Researchers estimated that men who drink 14 drinks per week face about a 1-in-25 lifetime risk of dying from an alcohol-related illness or injury. At 4:52 a.m., troopers responded to State 47 north in Dennis Township after a Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Ford pickup truck attempting to make a left turn from Route 47 south into a parking lot, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Postorino said.  The crash remains under investigation, Postorino said.
