Woman, 27, Killed When Pickup Bursts Into Flames On Garden State Parkway
A 27-year-old Long Branch woman was killed after a pickup truck crashed, overturned, and caught fire on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls early Sunday morning, May 17, authorities said.
At 3:59 a.m., troopers responded to the southbound express lanes for a report of a motor vehicle crash, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for the New Jersey State police said.

Two men were killed and three others were critically injured after an SUV crashed into a group of pedestrians in Manhattan Friday night, May 15, police said.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. near West 109th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Police said a 61-year-old man driving a Mercedes-Benz SUV north on Amsterdam Avenue lost control of the vehicle, slammed into two parked cars, and struck five men ages 35, 36, 44, 46, and 51. All five victims were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
