After 30-Year Career In Education, Maryland Superintendent Set To Retire
Maryland’s third-largest school system is losing its chief architect of change.
Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers announced Thursday, Feb. 26, that she will retire effective Wednesday, July 1, 2026, closing out a 30-year career in education — and a three-year run leading one of the state’s largest and most scrutinized districts.
When she took over on July 1, 2023, the assignment was blunt.
